Andrew helped me tremendously for the GRE! He gave me great tips and was always super patient with me. I was having more trouble with the verbal sections and so he made sure to focus on that section. I would definitely recommend Andrew to anyone who needs help with the GRE or GMAT, he is great!!

Andrew is an amazing tutor! He is incredibly patient and does an amazing job of making sure you really understand all of the material before your test date. I had not done the kind of math required for the GRE in 10+ years and with Andrew's help I was able to get the score I needed to apply to my #1 graduate school! I definitely recommend Andrew if you are looking for someone to help you prepare for the GRE.

I've been working with Andrew for the past few months to prepare for the GRE, and it has helped me enormously. He's extremely knowledgeable about the inner workings the test and has plenty of tips for all aspects of it. Andrew was tremendously helpful in my GRE prep.  He kept me focused and was very realistic about setting goals.  We worked together 6 months during which I felt that each session was an improvement from the last.  As someone who is not naturally adept in mathematics (particularly Geometry), Andrew really put in the extra effort to make sure I was understanding each concept thoroughly.  I was very happy with my test score results and honestly could not have asked for a better, more prepared tutor!.

Let me start off by saying I absolutely hate math, It was hard going back to it after 10 years, i decided I needed to hire a tutor to help me study and prepare for the GRE, since most colleges are requiring it. I plan to take the exam September 2017 and so far it has been a learning experience. For me, studying math is like pulling teeth but thank God Andrew is very patient with me and will calmly explain the problem even if he has to explain it over and over again. We are almost done with the math portion and we are now working on vocabulary and writing. He is very knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and an expert in his field. I highly recommend him.

I had to take the GRE before I applied to doctorate programs in Psychology, but my math abilities were incredibly rusty after not having taken a math course since high school (and I was pretty bad at it then, too). Andrew was great at targeting only the topics and skills that I need to improve so that our tutoring sessions were being used efficiently. Over the course of the summer, not only had I gotten a refresher course in geometry, algebra, and trig, I was actually better at it than I had ever been before. With Andrew's encouragement, I saw a notable increase in my math GRE score from my initial practice test to my actual GRE score.  Andrew is also excellent at being flexible about when and where to meet for tutoring sessions! I was moving around a lot between OC and LA and was able to meet up with him wherever I was. Best of all, my GRE score helped get me into my dream graduate program and will start this fall. I had to take the GREs a second time to up my score and try to get into my dream program. I decided to hire a tutor instead of attempting to go it alone again. From my perspective Andrew provided me with two invaluable services: 1.) Andrew has a great ability to identify weak spots, develop lesson plans and homework that build up skills that get to the core of the weaknesses you're facing. 2.) He has a tremendous capacity to listen, hear you out and shift you to a more positive headspace to continue working at your hardest. He explains concepts well and is willing to go over the same topic again and again until you feel confident in it. Never makes you feel dumb. I can't say enough about how much this attitude helped me push through some tough spurts. In the end my Math, English and Writing scores all improved. Andrew is a great tutor, I'm thankful for his time and would eagerly recommend him to anyone! 

After many years of being out of school, I decided to pursue a graduate degree. Years ago I took a GRE prep course but didn't feel as though I got a lot out of it and knew I wanted to find someone who would work with me one-on-one.  Not knowing where to start, I turned to yelp. Based on the glowing reviews he earned, I reached out to Andrew. After an initial phone consult, I had the pleasure of meeting and working with him this past summer. Andrew was great! He was able to quickly assess and identify my individual needs. He put together a study plan and helped me manage my time. He was easy to talk to and explained the concepts really well. At no time did I feel uneasy about asking questions.  I felt that Andrew truly cared about helping me. He was upfront and honest about what to expect without being authoritative. Additionally, he provided positive reinforcement and helped re-build my my "test taking" confidence. I highly recommend Andrew for your graduate entrance exam tutoring needs.

Andrew helped me study for the GRE. We mostly focused on the quantitative section since math is my weakest subject. Andrew really helped me improve my math skills for the exam. I had not done math in about 10 years and we started by reviewing all my basic math skills. From there we worked our way up to algebra, geometry and data analysis. Andrew is a very patient teacher who knows his subject well. He will assess your level of mathematical understanding and then scaffold the lessons as necessary. He is punctual and always comes ready to get the most out of each session. I will begin UC Riverside's Ethnic Studies PhD program this fall 2017 with a full scholarship. I highly recommend Andrew's tutoring services! 

I got into Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, got a merit based scholarship and there is no words that will express how happy I am!  This won't be possible without Andrew's classes. I graduated from school years ago and forgot what it is like to study for hours, getting ready for  a test. In addition to it, I am a foreigner, so for me passing GRE was like climbing to K-2... I honestly thought that I wouldn't make it. I had to work and travel, it was challenging to simply schedule a class. But we made it work. Andrew found a special approach and he made me study. I passed the test and achieved my goal. Andrew is a great tutor. He hears you and makes a strategy in order for you to achieve your goal. Studying with Andrew is fun. I've learnt a lot plus I passed GRE. Andrew, I am very grateful. Can't imagine that in several weeks I am going to start my MA at Annenberg. Still feels like a dream.

A year ago, I started on the path to apply to USC grad school. I had been out of school for some time, and standardized tests were never really my thing. I bought a few GRE study books, but I quickly realized that I needed structure and guidance if I was to fulfill my goal, so I started searching for GRE/GMAT tutors in my area. I met with a handful of them, but I knew that I wanted to keep working with Andrew after the first session. Andrew was professional, punctual, and mostly importantly patient. Quant work has always been a real challenge for me. In fact, I went through a good portion of my life struggling in school because a lot of educators would grow frustrated and throw in the towel. Andrew was one of the few people that really understood my way of learning, and once he figured out my way of grasping concepts, he tailored lessons to my learning style. After many months of working together, I took the GRE, put together my statement of purpose, and applied to USC. I was ecstatic when I received my offer to study at the school of my dreams. Andrew was worth every penny and I can't say enough good things about him. As long as you're willing to put in the time and effort, you won't be disappointed with the results. He helped me to improve my knowledge in math! He has a lot of books and materials. I got good scores in my GRE! With these results I have started my masters program at USC. He is a very good tutor!
